Marathon Sessions

I provide half-day, full-day, and two-day intensive Gottman, EFT, EMDR, trauma processing, new parenthood support, and pre-marital preparation options. Couples or individuals may want to move more quickly toward resolving specific concerns, see more significant progress within a shorter duration, or manage busy schedules that make it difficult to attend weekly therapy.

Are you looking for a way to jump-start your healing journey without feeling rushed? In my Marathon Therapy Sessions—ideal for both couples and individuals—we’ll spend extended, intentional time working on the core challenges that bring you to therapy. This deeper format of an intensive will allow us to really connect, identify concerns, and start making meaningful progress right from the start. 

Typical intensives lengths are 3-5 hours, but I've done up to 10 hours across 2 days.  We'll customize it based on your needs and preferences. Some couples do quarterly intensives in lieu of regular sessions, but there's no one path. We can discuss options and make it work for your situation. 

 

Before We Begin

Prior to our intensive session, I’ll send you some straightforward assessments. These questionnaires help me understand your goals, relationship dynamics, and any history of trauma or life events that could be important. By the time we meet, we’ll already have a foundation for how we can work together -- with maximum flexibility to adapt to whatever comes out during the session. We don't always know where our mind will take us. 

 

Diving In

When you arrive, we’ll review your assessments and discuss why you’ve chosen to seek therapy now. In shorter sessions, it can sometimes feel like we’re out of time just as topics start to intersect. With a longer session, we create the space to explore pressing concerns, unpack emotions, and set a course for growth.

An extended format helps us reach the heart of the issues sooner, whether it’s relationship roadblocks, trauma processing, or personal goals. Together, we can craft a therapy plan that suits your unique circumstances. No cookie-cutter approaches here. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of where you are and where you want to go.  I will provide resources curated for your situation, including books, articles, podcasts, social media accounts, or whatever else will help your post-intensive exploration. 

 

Flexible Follow-Up

After this deep dive, we can adjust session lengths to match your pace and preferences. It’s all about meeting you where you are and ensuring the process feels supportive and empowering.  

 

Comfortable Environment

There will be coffee, cold drinks, and a variety of snacks included (including vegan and gluten-free). Your comfort is a priority, and I’m here to make sure you feel supported every step of the way.
